Doulos





Doulos

Doulos is the biggest boat which loads up with books. The boat was built after Titanic finished for 2 years. Doulos is supervised by Good books for All charity, Germany. The boat is recorded, ‘The biggest working antique boat in the world’ by Guinness Book.

Doulos is called, ‘The biggest floating book shop in the world.’ There are many kinds of books in the boat including science, sport, hobby, recipe, dessert, art, management, novel, books for child, music and stationeries.

There are 330 crews who come from 50 countries. There are 3 parts of show in the boat such as book shop area, international show area including music, performances, countries dancing and international exhibition area.

Besides, Doulos is the moving storehouse of knowledge, aiming to help the poorest families in other countries around the world.
- To donate books, medicines, consumer goods for helping people who need.
- To build and repair the building including churches, schools, too.

For 30 years, Doulos sails to many countries around the world including Asia, Latin America, Africa, Europe, Australia and Arabia.
Now, Doulos has moored at the 1st quay, the Klongtoey quay during 30 July – 23 August, 2009.

It is open on Tuesday-Saturday from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.
And it is open on Sunday-Monday from 2 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Free for children who are under 16 years.
The Adults pay 10 baht per one person.

I have gone on last Saturday.
