Thai's alphabets, post for 13-20 June, 2010

In B.E. 1826, Thai’s alphabets were invented by King Ramkhamhaeng from Khmer’s alphabets. After that, he ordered to inscribe on a stone inscription which was 111 cm height. Actually, Khmer’s alphabets came from Sanskrit which was the beginning of Khmer. These alphabets were used by Thai to make a copy of a scripture and a text which came from India.
On a stone inscription, it has one statement which read “formerly, we had no Thai. In B.E. 1826, King Ramkhamhaeng had got an idea and invented Thai’s alphabets. Later, he ordered to engrave those characters on this stone inscription.”
Presently, this first stone inscription has been preserved at Nation Museum, Bangkok.
