3G providers service in Thailand



Thailand had four providers of 3G service as follows
TOT 3G now available at 2100 MHz frequency, which all mobile phone sold in Thailand and supported 2100 MHz frequencies for 3G is compatible with all versions of it. Just say that phones are now supporting 3G (WCDMA or UMTS are the same meaning that it supports 3G technology), 2100 MHz frequency is currently serving up to 42 Mbps (Mega bit per second). Now has the serve. Nakhon Pathom, Nonthaburi, Samut Prakan, Bangkok, Ayutthaya, and Pathum Thani.

True Move
and True Move H with the 3G service at a frequency of 850 MHz and a maximum speed 21 Mbps with an area located in Bangkok, Phuket, Pattaya, Chiang Mai, Chon Buri, Bang Saen, Cha Am and Hua Hin.

AIS
to launch 3G services in 900 MHz band and provides up to 21 Mbps, with coverage in the province of Chon Buri, Nakhon Ratchasima, Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Songkhla, Phuket, Hua Hin, Pranburi, and Cha-am.

DTAC
has just opened at a frequency of 850 MHz and maximum speed of 42 Mbps, covering Bangkok and will be expanded to major cities and perimeter. Another province area approximately last year.

  1. I see. These are made someone who want to buy some phone number must be chose that what the provider you want to contact with. Even now, you can change the provider with old sim but it have the dizzy to the providers and yourself too.

    The thing that I concern is why they don't use the frequency as same as another or why they don't create the phone that can use all of the frequency?
