Pizza has a long history. The ancient Greeks first had idea of putting vegetables on large flat piece of bread. Pizza ovens have been found in the ruins of the Roman city. A baker’s name was Rafaele Esposito from Naples who began to sell the first modern pizza. In 1989, he made a special pizza for the visit of King Umberto 1 and Queen Margarita of Italy and created the name of as Margarita. Since then pizza has became a favorite dish in Italy. After the Second World War American soldiers went home from Europe bringing with them pizza and it became an international dish. Nowadays, there are chains of Pizzerias and Pizza Hut all around the world
