gramar mistake

I think I have to disagree with your idea on not checking our gramar mistake in the paper. If you don't correct it then who's gonna do? We will think that our writing are correct. The mistakes will stay with us forever. It's a good idea to make us feel comfortable and worry free about gramar while writing but not showing us the correct English is not good. Correcting the wrongs and showing the rights is one of the best ways in learning English to me. It will be easy to stick in my head. Then I can tell right from wrong. Just like "Oh I have written like that before but Teacher told me it was not correct. I'll chang it." Well, If you want to make us worry free on gramar then you can say that you are not going to remark at the gramar mistake. It is more than enough. I guess students only care about the marks.

It is only my idea. You don't have to do it if you or the rest of the students in the class do not like it. I'm fine with anything.

Writer's Block

This lesson defines the different ideas of the blocked — strict to the writing rules and planning strategies whereas the non-blocked — apply the writing rules to the work but in flexible, openly and functionally ways. From the description, I am rather be in the blocked group.

This lesson also guides the blocked solving methods of Rules and Plans — heuristics and TOTE. I think I can follow the method of approaching the problems with flexible idea of writing (heuristics) and I agree with the idea of Robert M Gagne that the readers do confuse if the writing is finished without rules and rules can easily be learned directly or through experience (TOTE).

I appreciate the idea of the non-blocked that they dare to reject rules if they conflict with their work. Anyway, I cannot follow this idea because I believe the writing generates from a problem-solving process.

writer's block

After i read all the text I can summarize as following
Rules are devided into 2 kinds: algorithms which is rules taht cause a particular answer such as mathematical questions, heuristics are more flexible than algorithms.
Plans are process that manage performance in order

Rose seperate his student in blocker and non-blocker
Blocker is writer who adhere with rules. they think if sentence is not grammatically correct, it is not useful or think an essay has to include with three main point.
Non-blocker is writer who think if some rules are not suitable for their work, they will reject it.

Now, I'm blocker in the essay "My writing vs My translation". I'm noe fix with rules but I have nothing in mind to write it out.

Rigid Rules, Inflexible Plans, and the Stifling of Language: A Cognitivist Analysis of Writer's Block

I understand what's rules and what's plans, but I don't understand all of the journal- it's kind of difficult. I don't understand "Algorithms Rather Than Heuristics." I do face a block suitation when I wrote the writing "My traslation VS my writing."

Writer's block

OK, I will do this one more time. If it still does not work, I'm going to beat someone to the death.

I think everyone has to face blocks. No matter where you are or what you do. If you are a guitar player, you ran out of idea then you meet the block. If you are a doctor, you can't find the medicine to treat the disease then you face the block.

I have read the text and I totally agree. I really like the part that say "If it is not good to my work, I won't use it." It might not be exctly like the text in the book but it should be the same meaning. I just can not remember what is in the book but it doesn't matter. I can aply this stratment to anything I do. If it is not suit my work I'll leave it alone.

How to deal with bolcks?
I have never faced block, big one untill I can not move on.
Normally, it usually a small ones.

The way I do is this:
I will have a plan but my plan has to be flexible so I can roll over them.
I will not pay attention much on rules. In the case of free writing, I never care about rules at all.
And if I really meet the block, I'll take a few steps away from it. I may leave it alone for a while. Then I get back and I may be able to get over it.

Does it make sense or no?

THE WRITER'S BLOCK

I wanna say “I don’t understand all of it”

Rose differentiates his students in 3 groups for test writer’s block. He gave us a way to solve the problem, I though. But the thing that I found is if we want to solve the problem of writer’s block, we will know how to do. We must use Rose’s tactic that I realize when I’ve read his theory. We must have our plan before we write so we must know the rules.

About rule we can distinguish two kinds of rule. Algorithms and heuristics.

Heuristics – we can solve the problem by use our thinking and has many ways in the process to solve the problem by ourselves.

Algorithms – it has an only one way to solve problem, like 1+1 must answer 2 because it has the rule.

And then we must have our plan before write. I thought we can run away of the writer’s block.

Thanx.
