Let’s Go to Pay Homage to Pra Pathom Chedi in Nakhonprathom!

My aunt and I had a chance to go to pay homage to Pra Pathom Chedi last month. Even though I had a chance to go there once, I was impressed with its beautiful style and long history. And I would like to tell general information about Pra Pathom Chedi and all activities that I did there at that time.

Pra Pathom Chedi is an important holy building, where Thai Buddhists worship and often come to commemorate. This Chedi was built in the ancient times, before Thailand was established. There is a long legendary tale that tells this place was built by a king who killed his own biological father. Besides its long history, Pra Prathom Chedi is one of the six most important places in Thailand, which are temples and holy places. And also this place is the highest Chedi in the world, which is why it is so important and attracts many Thai and foreign visitors, including me.

For the activities that I did there, first of all, my aunt and I went to pay respect to the Lord Buddha images inside the Chedi and made wishes for my family and myself. Then we made merit to dedicate merit to our dead relatives and friends. We also went sigh-seeing fine arts inside the Chedi and visit around the temple. The fine arts were so beautiful. The architecture of the Chedi was simple but gorgeous. The temple was attracted by all curvatures and all the fine details. The area and atmosphere in the temple were very nice and warm as well. Before we left, we went to a food shop near the exit of the temple. I like the food there, especially Khaow Pad Kapraw Pla Muk. It was very delicious, and its price was reasonable. We were beaming with merit and enjoyment.

Don’t miss to go there!!!
