My best Japan trip part V

Leave the good memories in Fukuwatari behind, I head to another historical city which is Okayama. More than 500 kilometers away from Tokyo, this city is Momotaro home town. This Japanese hero came to Earth inside a giant peach, which was found floating down a river by an old, childless woman. He creates his heroic story with his friends which are dog, monkey, and pheasant by fighting with a demon. For sure, I already took some photos with him before took a cute tram to the castle of Okayama.

The main tourist attraction place of Okayama beside many shopping streets is Okayama castle. The nickname of this castle is Crow Castle. It got this nick name because the black exterior of its. After took some picture inside the castle area, I across the Asahi river that flows on the north and east side of the castle and there is Korakuen garden on the opposite side of the river. It is one of the Three Famous Gardens in Japan, along with Kairakuen in Mito city and Kenrokuen in Kanazawa city. This garden is on a sandbar along Asahi River, with the total area of the garden is approximately 133,000 square meters. There is the main house for the lord in the center of the garden. The gardens with lawn, ponds, winding streams, forests are set up, and guest houses and tea houses are located in this beautiful garden. After took a tour around Okayama city, I back to train station in the late afternoon. The next destination would be Hiroshima and that day was the 25 of December. The big city like Hiroshima must be crowded with the people who want to celebrate their Christmas day. Sadly, I had no friends travel with me in this trip, so I needed to celebrate that Christmas alone.
