Dalai Lama on a Cooking Show?

Last night I watched Australian Network Channel, the program was about a panel discussion between people from some government sectors and the audience. There was a man asking some experts on the stage about the opinion on Dalai Lama appeared on a reality TV show “MasterChef”. He asked if it was appropriate to have a monk on the show. But the person from the panel said that he has no idea about it. I totally agreed with the panel--I mean what the point of asking that type of question. Why can’t monks appear on the TV show; what wrong with that?

I just thought it was great to see Dalai Lama on this type of TV show. Everyone knows him and admires him for what he did for Tibet, so having him on a cooking show was a brilliant idea. So today, I searched on Google, it said that this episode was aired on 16th July, on Chanel 10 in Australia. I guessed we missed that, unless you have a satellite dish at home (lucky you!) But I am pretty sure that True Visions or some cable TV will bring this to air soon--probably next year the soonest!..hehe Or wait till someone put on Youtube :-)

I thought MasterChef Australia was fun to watch as I have seen some special season called Junior MasterChef. There were very young age contestants between 8-14 years old, and they were so talented. If you are a cooking show fan, you don’t want to miss this!
