Read! Read! Read!

How many book have you read in your life? I am a person who really like to books. A favorite one is the books about Dhamma. After I read them, I feel so peace inside my mind. I can get good solutions from those books. When I was very serious and I felt that there’s no solution to solve problems, I learnt that sometimes I need to “let it go.” It’s easy phase to remember and very meaningful. It’s not just “let it go,” but I must have consciousness to wisely find out the solutions. Some problem couldn’t be solved in a very short time. If we immediately solve with incorrect solution, the problem may be not solved. One more favorite kind of books I read is fiction like novel and cartoon. They make me relaxed and happy. Today is one of my happy days because I got many cheap of books from bookstores such as Dokya, Praepittaya, and Nai-in. I could get both of non-fiction and fiction books. Do you believe me I bought 10 today? This is my first time that I bought many books in one day. I am quite happy because I have a chance to read good books. Long time ago, I used to read an article about Japanese said that the Japanese spend 30% of their salary to buy books in a month. In my opinion, it’s good to those people that spend money to buy a useful thing for their life. Every kind of books contributes knowledge to the readers, so just read books to meet new world.

The Buddha of the Front Palace

After studying Chinese I always went to temple or museum in Bangkok. So last Saturday I went to worship the nine Buddha of the Front Palace at National Museum Bangkok—Phra Buddha Sihing, Phra Hai Sok , Phra Bhaisajyaguru, Phra Chai Nakhon Ratchasima, Crowned Buddha, Sandal wood Buddha, Luang Pho Nak and Phar Buddha Ratthanamuni.

When I have learnt about this news, I wanted to see Sandal wood Buddha because these Buddha made from sandal wood (Chan Hom Wood) in abhaya mudra gesture, which means “Protection”. As a legend of Sandalwood Buddha, the Buddha preached the Dharma to his mother at the heaven. King Phasanethikosol ordered to create the Buddha statue made from sandal wood for replacement of the Buddha.

Besides, I am interested in Phra Bhaisajyaguru meaning around 12th-13th centuries. Lopburi art. these Buddha sheltered by Naga, was believed to cure body and mind diseases.

Many people worship the nine Buddha and want these Buddha to bring the good things to them. For example, Phra Buddha Sihing brings prosperity and auspiciousness, Phar Hai Sok can bring happiness. Lauang Pho Nak in meditation image means enlightenment.

For me, I worshiped the Buddha and really want to have the enlightenment. And also I asked for happiness happens to my family, friends, teachers, loved and disliked persons, and all being things.

I don’t expect good things will happen to me or not, but only want to successfully do something good in my life.

The pineapple cookies

I'm so busy since the end of the last year until now as I have to do my job. I already have a job which is come from my hobby. I'm a baker who have to bake the bakery thing over and over to earn the money. That's so good. Today I'm gonna present my newest master piece. It is the pineapple cookies, my favorite cookies. This is the first time that I bake the pineapple cookies. As last week I went to the shop where I can buy the bakery stuff for my product and I found that there are the stir pineapple. Then I bought it and start to learn how to bake the pineapple cookies on the website. There are so many way to do it but I choose just one. It not as hard to do as I think but I have to take very long time to shaping it. I though that why it have to be the worm shape? how about to make it in another shape? Since there is one blog that I found, the writer make a pig shape. Then I decided to do the pig shape but not actually same as the pig in that blog. I decided to make my own style of pig. It take around 5 minutes each but I think that it is so much more appetizing and more valuable. Not just the pig shape, I try to do the turtle shape and it is so cute but when the turtles are in the oven. They were loose their head so when they came out they had no head.. so pity.. I tried to fix them, give the head back but it didn't work. So next time I will try to do the other shape again. It's so funny

Siam Paragon

Siam Paragon is a place where I like. When I was about 6 years old, my father and I liked to sit in the Dunkin Donut where is opposite Siam Paragon (In that time it wasn’t Siam Paragon, but it was a theatre). When I was a senior high school, I walked there every Friday because our classes finished at 12 o’clock. Siam Paragon has many things to buy such as clothes, furniture, books, etc. You can choose the things that you like. Nowadays, Siam Paragon is a shopping place for teenagers including me (Although I am not teenager). I have a friend works at Siam Paragon. Her name is Wei; her duty is taking travelers look around Siam Ocean World which is inside   Siam Paragon. She must speak both of Thai and English. One day my close friend (Sine) and I went to Siam Paragon to buy a book “The Happiness of Kati” to analyze about translation. I hoped to see her but I lost hope. Moreover, Siam Paragon is also near sky train, you can travel convenience. If there are foreign travelers go to Bangkok. I recommend Siam Paragon is a good choice for them.

Love

Have you ever loved? I have never love someone, but I have ever liked many boys since I was a small child until I grew up (I liked one by one not many boys in the same time). I met the first boy when I was 10 years old, and I was 4 grades but he was 6 grades. We have ever walked oppose but we didn't talk together. I think it may be a poppy love. The second boy when I was 13 years old. I think he is lovely, but he liked another girl. Her name is Bua, she is a naughty girl. When we graduated junior high school, we didn't meet together. The third boy when I was 18 years old. His nickname is Tape, but he has a girlgriend who nickname is Ple. He took her to go with him in the graduate day. Certainly, I was heart-broken. The last boy when I am 24 years old. The boy who studied Graduate English in the same class with me (I have ever posted for many weeks). In that day, the teacher ordered us to raise questions together. I forgot ask him that he has a girlfriend or not. I know if we love or like someone and we are disappointed. We may sad, but we must calm down because it is not everyone can get the things that we want.

It’s an art time…

Don’t ask but just do if you want to know what art is. The definition of art varies to each person. Basically, art is a communicative work. Therefore, different people interpret an artwork differently. Like a therapy talk and a good company, art has the healing power; it helps solve the emotional issues and uplift your spirit. Through the process of art, a mind can find an outlet for frustration as well as creativity. The creator of art can concentrate better and know more about how to work with his muscles. It is also a way to build a sense of self-esteem after finish the work. You don’t need a sophisticated set of art tools. Just find something around house and start working on your art project. And many people think that art is unattainable. This is not true at all. You need to work on it and see it for yourself that there, in fact, a lot of varieties in store for you to try. I believe that you can do.

How to tackle problems between boss and employee

The problems between boss and employee are normally thing in working, but we can solve them. So, we have to accept them consciously.
The miscommunication, personal life problem and age gap relationship may cause misunderstanding between boss and employees. As you are the boss, do not let this unclear issue turn out to be a work difficulty.
1. Control and keep them working
Keep close while your employee working otherwise work is likely not progressive. This problem might happen when employees face repeatedly tedious works so they lose their enthusiasm. The best way out is to allow them rotate their positions and have them try working on new roles.
2. Break the rules
Breaking the rules is regularly occurred and every employee has done if only you knew it or not. Reconsider why they have to do and talk honestly to improve your regulations.
3. Younger gets fear to command
What if you work with elders? If you have a tactful performance and the majority accept your ability, the seniority is not the great deal. However, being courteous and friendly will help you work smoothly.
4. They don’t know and they don’t ask
No boss loves to work with employees who don’t really understand the job details but they continue working carelessly. You may be at fault due to giving vague instructions, using difficult language or confusing work structure. Therefore, you should recheck every time that your employees do understand the details of job and then keep following up them from time to time.
5. Skip the procedure
Many like the shortcut and try to reduce the work procedures as much as they can. Sometimes it comes up with the damage. To eliminate this problem, you should explain how much advantage they will get from following the work procedure.

Birth Order

brother and sister in Four Heart of Mountain story

What  makes  you  the kind  of  person  that  you  are?  Your  birth order-whether  you’re  the  oldest,  middle,  youngest,  or  an  only  child - also  has  a  significant  influence  on  your  personality,  and  how  you  relate  to  your  family.
What  are  the  typical  characteristics  of  children  in  different  positions  in  the  family?  According  to  Dr.  Kevin  Leman  in  The  New  Birth  Order  Book,  if  you’re  obedient,  a  high  achiever,  status  conscious,  and  if  you  like  to  please  your  parents  but  don’t  like  taking  risks,  you’re  probably  a  first  born.  You’re  also  likely  to  be  in  a  responsible  job,  possibly  a  teacher,  a  priest  or  even  a  politician.  Middle  children  often  feel  the  opposite  of  their  older  brothers  and  sisters –that  they  don’t  have  a  role  in  the  family.  They  like  taking  risks  and  try  to  escape  by  making  lots  of  friends.  Being  quite  independent,  they  often  get  hobs  far  away  from  their  families,  sometimes  in  another  country.  They’re  usually  very  ambitious  and  successful.  If  you  are  the  youngest,  you’re  probably  affectionate,  unselfish,  sociable,  a  rebel  and  you  like  to  entertain  people.  Many  famous  comedians  are  last  borns.  If  last  borns  end  up  in  conventional  jobs,  for  example  as  lawyers  or  scientists,  they  are  likely  to  be  radical  or  rebellious  members  of  their  professions.  What  about  if  you’re  behaved  like  an  adult  since  you  were  very  young,  set  yourself  high  standard;  you’re  good  at  motivating  yourself  and  feel  more  comfortable  with  people  older  or  younger  than  yourself?  Then  you’re  probably  an  only  child.
Knowing  about  birth  order  is  not  just  interesting,  it’s  also  useful.  Dr  Leman  believes  that  knowing  why  you  behave  in  a  certain  way  can  help  you  to  understand  your  relationships  with  your  family  and  the  people  around  you  better.

Are you wearing a surgical mask?

Before the attack of the 2009 Influenza, Japanese people and many others used to wear a mask when they are sick. This is a safety measure to prevent cold, flu, allergy and other respiratory diseases. In Thailand, it is still not too late to start adopting such custom. Wearing a mask therefore should not embarrass you. Infact, The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued updated information about the efficacy and use of respirators and facemasks (surgical masks) to prevent the Novel H1N1 virus transmission. Surgical masks are designed to keep the respiratory droplets of the wearer contained (like covering your mouth with a tissue does) when coughing or sneezing.

Another potential advantage of surgical masks is they may help you to remember not to touch your face with your hands. A mask could help you remember that precaution when you may be "acting on automatic " when out in public.
Therefore wearing a surgical mask is a must to all doctors especially in having contact with the patients to avoid transmission of disease. And the best prevention is good hygiene and hand washing. If unable to wash hands thoroughly and briskly for a minimum of 20-30 seconds with warm water and soap, use a waterless hand sanitizer that is a minimum of 60% alcohol.
According to the health professionals, to avoid transferring bacteria from their mouths to patients, usually wear a surgical mask, during surgery, or when visiting vulnerable patients. The surgical mask may also protect against blood splatters from a patient during surgeries. It is usually made of paper or synthetic materials suitable for one-time use only.

Club Friday

Do you know “Club Friday”? It is a TV program talking about love which is broadcasted through green channel and radio wave 106.5 green wave. Initially, I’m not interested in it because there are two DJs talking together about love; it’s boring. One day I turned on TV on this channel, but I was not in front of TV (I only listened while cleaned up my room.). In fact, the listeners or viewers can call to tell their love stories and consult DJs how to solve their problems via this TV program. Each time a love topic will be provided while it is on air, for example, “valuable gifts,” “I don’t care, but I feel,” “last minute,” “You’re gone, I still love you.” They’re all about love. After that I usually watch it. Many times I cry because some love stories are very sad for me. I also get a good advices and suggestions from DJs. They can give the best solutions to their listeners and viewers. Those love stories are both sad and sweet. They are so various which can make me feel many kinds of feelings. I think it is one program that is useful for people because some stories are the same as we used to meet and we can get advices or suggestions to think about. We may change ourselves becoming better person and also change our bad thinking to good thinking. Simply, we may be more optimistic than the past.

Thai New Year Day

Mr. Noranit Setthabut, the former general secretary of King Prajadhipok's Institue, wrote about Thai New Year's day in Daily news. Thailand changed Thai New Year's day in four times. First, Thai New Year's Day was set on the first day of waning moon of first lunar month (1st ram of Duan Aye) because traditionally Thai stated the winter as the beginning of year (the summer as the middle of year and raining season as the end of year). In the old day, Thai started the first day of month with the first waning moon day(ram) and was changed to start with the first day of waxing moon (kheun).

Second, the first waxing moon day of the fifth lunar month (Songkarn Day) was New Year day because the sun moved from Pisces to Aries.

Third, in BE 2432 the fist of April was on the first waxing moon day of the fifth lunar month. The government wanted to follow the Solar calendar so the first of April was announced as Thai New Year's day since BE 2432.

Forth, Marshal P. Pibunsongkram, the Prime Minister of Thailand at that time would like to follow the international New Year day, the first of January. Therefore, the first of January was suggested by his government and approved by parliament on the 29th August B.E. 2483.

The first of January from BE.2484 to BE 2554, Thai was believed as the former prime minister that the first of January made Thailand and Thai people “prosperous and joyful”

Finally, the writer also suspected that Marshal P.Pibunsongkram's change could make the country prosperous or not.

Anyway, Thai people have celebrated their New Year on the first of January for 70 years.

The loneliness

Are you afraid of loneliness, but I’m very afraid. I’m an only child in my family. I don’t have brothers and sisters. Since I was a small child until I grow up, I have friends, but there are a few close friends. When I was a small child, I liked a holiday very much. Every time I studied, I looked forward to Friday because the tomorrow and the day after tomorrow are Saturday and Sunday. But now, it is opposite. I don’t like a holiday especially the long holiday because I feel lonely and bored. Sometimes, I miss my friends who study with me in junior high school and senior high school. I called them, but some of their telephone or mobile phone numbers can’t contact. I think they may be changing their numbers. It is really sad because I haven’t seen them for many years. Although we didn’t meet, at least we had an opportunity to talk together. I think in an advantage that we can meet so we can leave, it makes me feel better. I feel very lonely when I must stay alone for a long time. If the day which my parent don’t live with me arrive. I don’t know how I live.

The Best Gift of New Year 2011

“Time and tide wait for no man,” this saying is true for me. It is unbelievable that I had spent time to do many hundreds activities in a year. There are many feelings happened in my life, for example, happy, sad, disappointed, mad, frustrated, frightened, depressed, and serious. Every circumstance happened especially the bad things that I faced up can create strengths minds for me. I tried to find out solutions to solve and handle with them. I could pass them. I learnt that the life isn’t easy. It’s about 1 year left that I will graduate my Master of Arts. My hometown isn’t in Bangkok, but Phuket. I miss my family very much. For this long weekend, I have no chance to meet them because I have something important to do here. I’ve already sent calendar 2011 to my family; I did it by myself as a photo shown. I hope they like it! The best gift that I want for next year is to go back to live with my family. My attempt right now is to study hard and get a good job to do. I think that will make my parents so happy. It may be better that I can live with them on the new year day, 1st January,2011. Anyway, I will call them to say “I love you and Happy New Year, mom and dad.”

Let the bad things go with old year; the good things come with the new year.

Wishing you all the best for the next!

To Dream......The Impossible Dream

When I got frustrated with my life, I would read my New Year card sent by my best boss. She copied some words from "The Impossible Dream", main song of the musical, Man of La Mancha, which is about Don Quixote's
adventure

Lady Maneerat Boonnak translated in Thai song "ความฝันอันสูงสุด".

My boss wanted me

To dream ... the impossible dream ...
To fight ... the unbeatable foe ...
To bear ... with unbearable sorrow ...
To run ... where the brave dare not go ...
To right ... the unrightable wrong ...
To love ... pure and chaste from afar ...
To try ... when your arms are too weary ...
To reach ... the unreachable star ...

She told me that if I couldn't achieve something, didn't give up. Besides, she gave me the powerful word was that SMILE. Smile can cheer my heart and my life to get the great things

So from now on I smile and smile until the unreachable star can be reached.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011
