Graduate Studies

Graduate Studies refer to the study in Master or Doctoral Degree. After graduating Bachelor Degree, you may continue studying in Master Degree immediately or get a job first and work for a couple of years to get some experience. There are many reasons that make you decide to study in Master Degree. Maybe, because you have your plan to study or because you are unemployed. No matter what the reason is, if you have a chance to study, you have to study hard and pay attention in class. First of all you have to know about the structure of graduate study curriculum. As I work in Graduate College, I'd like to inform you about this.

There are 2 plans for Master Degree, Plan A and Plan B. In Plan A, the students have to do the only thesis for 36 credits without any course work that is called Plan A1, while Plan A2 they have to do the 12-credit thesis and take course works for at least 12 credits to made totally 36 credits for the curriculum. Plan B, the students may study only course works for 36 credits or 30 credits of course works and 6 credits of Master Project.

The students have to choose the plan of the study before they start their curriculum. For Plan A, the students have to do the research for the thesis and must pass the oral exam to defense their thesis, while students in Plan B have to pass the comprehensive exam both paper and oral exam after they finish their course works with the cumulative grade point average (G.P.A.) not less than 3.00, then they are graduated.

Most of us, MTEM or S-MTEB are Plan B students, so we all have to prepare ourselves fot this exam that will take place on March or April 2012.
