Good sleep strategies are essential to deep, restorative sleep you can count on, night after night. By learning to avoid common enemies of sleep and trying out a variety of healthy sleep-promoting techniques, you can discover your personal prescription to a good night’s rest.
The key is to experiment. What works for some might not work as well for others. It’s important to find the sleep strategies that work best for you.
The first step to improving the quality of your rest is finding out how much sleep you need. How much sleep is enough? While sleep requirements vary slightly from person to person, most healthy adults need at least 8 hours of sleep each night to function at their best. http://www.helpguide.org/life/sleep_tips.htm
Well, sleeping is the best medicine to maintain the body and mind in a good balance. I usually get about 6-8 hours per night, and don't take any naps during the day but still don't feel tired. Luckily, my classes always start at 1pm to 4 pm, which means that I can get up late. I always go to bed after midnight depending on what I am doing at that time. I use the night in order to relax from a stressful day, so I watch movies, talk to friends or just listen to music. Even though people may think that these habits are not healthy, I can perfectly refresh my mind doing these activities at night. Don't forget, I'm still a student, so I want to enjoy doing all these things, because I know that once I'm working and gotta get up early in the morning, all my habits have to change or I will not be able to work properly. It's not only that people need sleep but sleep is an oasis for my mind and soul. By the way, have a good night and sweet dreams.
