Some one told me that, we are more whole when we are missing something. At first i could not understand this sentance until i read a story. Once a circle missed a wedge. the circle wanted to be whole, so it went around looking for its missing piece. But because it was incomplete and therefor could roll only very slowly. On the way, it met some beautiful flowers, it chatted with worms, it enjoyed the sunshine, it fond lots of different pieces, but non of them fit. One day, it found a perfect piece, it was so happy because now it was a whole again. Now it was a perfect circle, it could roll very, too fast to notice the flowers or talking to the worms. it realized how different the world seemed when it rolled so quickly, it stopped, left its found piece by the side of the road and rolled slowly away.
i think the lesson of the story was that in some strange sense we are more whole when we are missing something. The man is a poor who will never know that it feels like to get something, to hope, to keep his soul with the dream of something better. The keyword of this article, i think, is how to find something good when we are incomplete. If we could do that, we get the meaning of wholeness.
