Somtam!

Do you like to eat E-sarn food? Last week I recommended Shabu buffet restaurant that I always go to dine out. Today I would like to recommend a E-sarn food restaurant. One more my favorite food is “Somtam” or known as Papaya Salad in terms of English language. Since I have stayed here for one and a half year, I went to eat Somtam in many places. Yesterday I found that this restaurant “Laab Udon Phochanakarn” is the best E-sarn food restaurant. In the evening of that day, I and my boyfriend ordered six dishes which were Somtam, Laab Ped, roasted chicken, spicy pork soup, spicy Moo Yor salad, and Tub Moo Wan. They’re too many dishes for two persons, but we can eat all of them. Empty dishes left! That’s because we didn’t have lunch. Both of us were very full. A funny thing that happened is we only ate and said nothing. We said when we had ordered and when we had finished all of them. Perhaps, we both were very hungry. The restaurant is on Bangkok-Nonthaburi where near Soi Bangkok-Nonthaburi 39. I hope you may go to try eating E-sarn food here. You’ll say “Yummy! Yummy!

Beam Kawee

Beam Kawee is my favorite singer. I like him since I was 15 years old, so I want to write about him.

Kawee Tanjararak, mainly known as Beam, was born on May 18, 1980 in Bangkok, Thailand. He is a singer from the popular Thai boy band "D2B" which included two other members, Worrawech Danuwong (Dan) and Panrawat Kittikorncharoen (Big).

Kawee Tanjararak or "Beam" is a member of the boy band D2B, which was very popular in Thailand. D2B is one of Thailand's most famous boy band groups. However, on July 22, 2003, a member of D2B, Big, got into a car accident and being in a coma state. During Big's years in a while being sick, Dan and Beam continued their music careers and released several duo albums together. The duo became known as Dan Beam. One of his most famous songs included "Wela Mai Keuy Por" (Not Enough Time, เวลาไม่เคยพอ).

I have ever met him in 2002 at Siam. He gave me his signature. I’m sad that D2B band has no big

The Ancient Buddhist Scriptures (Tripitaka Scriptures)

Last Saturday, I attended the exhibition of the ancient Buddhist Scriptures, likely known as Buddhism’s Dead Sea Scrolls, be temporarily enshrined at Buddhamonthon in Nakhon Pathom. So I have learned that thousands of the ancient Buddhist Scriptures were smuggled from Afghanistan before two giant Buddha statues were destroyed by the Taleban.

Mr. Sam Fogg, London Specialist, sold them to Mr. Martin Schoyen, Director and Owner of The Schoyen Collection, Norway. There were 5,000 complete scriptures and 8,000 pieces of broken scriptures inscribed on palm leaves, bark, leather and brass plates.
Archaeologists believed that these Buddhist scriptures have been written in the sixth century. The world’s oldest ancient Buddhist scriptures were found in Bamiyan cave and kept in 400-600 bowls. These scriptures were written with “Prommi” characters, which were used during Buddha’s time.

Besides, there are many Tripitaka scriptures of many countries exhibited such as Japan, Lao, Korea, Tibet. The story of two giant Buddha statues was told in multimedia presentation so I understand Buddha’s teaching that all things are impermanent.

Sometime the couple have many problem in their life together. I think because they don't know more about them.(man don't know more woman, woman don't know more woman) This problem made them difficult to live and do many activities together. So knowing each other can made the relationship of them will be better.

There are the different of them  such as....

Relationships:
First of all, a man does not call a relationship a relationship - he refers to it as "that time when me and Suzie was doing it on a semi-regular basis". When a relationship ends, a woman will cry and pour her heart out to her girlfriends, and she will write a poem titled "All Men Are Idiots". Then she will get on with her life.
A man has a little more trouble letting go. Six months after the break-up, at 3:00 a.m. on a Saturday night, he will call and say, "I just wanted to let you know you ruined my life, and I'll never forgive you, and I hate you, and you're a total floozy. But I want you to know there's always a chance for us". This is known as the "I Hate You/I Love You" drunken phone call, that 99% of all men have made at least once. There are community colleges that offer courses to help men get over this need; alas, these classes rarely prove effective.
Sex:
Women prefer 30 - 45 minutes of foreplay. Men prefer 30 - 45 seconds of foreplay. Men consider driving back to her place as part of the foreplay.
Comedy:
Let's say a small group of men and women are in a room, watching television, and an episode of "The Three Stooges" comes on. Immediately, the men will get very excited; they will laugh uproariously, and even try to imitate the actions of Curly, man's favorite stooge. The women will roll their eys and groan and wait it out.
Bathrooms:
A man has at most six items in his bathroom - a toothbrush, toothpaste, shaving cream, razor, a bar of Dial soap, and a towel from the Holiday Inn. The average number of items in a typical woman's bathroom is 437. A man would not be able to identify most of these items.
Magazines:
Men's magazines often feature pictures of naked ladies. Women's magazine also feature pictures of naked ladies. This is because the female body is a beautiful work of art, while the male body is hairy and lumpy and should not be seen by the light of day.
Going out:
When a man says he is ready to go out, it means he is ready to go out. When a woman says she is ready to go out, it means she will be ready to go out, as soon as she finds her other earring, finishes putting on her makeup...
Mirrors:
Men are vain; they will check themselves out in the mirror. Women are ridiculous; they will check out their reflections in any shiny surface--mirrors, spoons, store windows, toasters, Joe Garagiola's head.
Movies:
For women, their favorite movie scene is when Clark Gable kisses Vivien Leigh for the first time in "Gone With The Wind". For men, it's when Jimmy Cagney shoves a grapefruit in Mae Clark's face in "Public Enemy".
The Telephone:
Men see the telephone as a communications tool. They use the telephone to send short messages to other people. A woman can visit her girlfriend for two weeks, and upon returning home, she will call the same friend and they will talk for three hours.
Dressing up:
A woman will dress up to go shopping, water the plants, empty the garbage answer the phone, read a book, get the mail. A man will dress up for: weddings, funerals.
Politics:
Men love to talk politics, but often they forget to do political things such as voting. Women are very happy that another generation of Kennedys is growing up and getting into politics, because they will be able to campaign for them and cry on election night.
Weddings:
When reminiscing about weddings, women talk about "the ceremony". Men talk about "the bachelor party".

More anything else.......

I liked to walk in Central Silom where many interesting things to buy have. I liked to look clothes. Silom Complex is near Saint Joseph Convent and BNH hospital. You can see many foreigners here as well as   Siam Paragon. If you travel to Silom Complex by sky train, you must get off at Saladaeng station. During May 2010, there was a red shirt. Silom Complex was very confusion. But later it was peaceful that made me happy. Now, I am studying at outskirt, so I hardly go to   Silom Complex. If I have an opportunity, I want to go there one more.

My favorite buffet restaurant

Shabushi, Oishi, Hot pot, MK buffet, Shuba Shabu! Do you know this kind of buffet, Shabu Shubu or Sukiyaki? I am a person who likes to eat buffet like Shabu Shabu or Sukiyaki. That’s because there are many kinds of food to choose, for example, meat, port, seafood, tofu, fried Soba noodles, fruits, vegetables, and desserts. A dipping sauce is one thing quite important for this kind of food. Since I have eaten in many restaurants as mentioned above, I like to eat in Shuba Shabu restaurant most. There are two kinds of dipping sauces which are traditional sesame sauce and sukiyaki sauce. People who like a kind of dipping sauce’s light taste can choose traditional sesame sauce. When you eat, you can feel sesame full of your mouth. This restaurant is located at Cocowalk area on Petchaburi road where is near Ratchadhevi BTS Station. A price is 199 Baht per person plus service charge 10%. If there are not many customers, no limited time for eating. I hope this Shuba Shabu restaurant may be one choice of dining out.

Read! Read! Read!

How many book have you read in your life? I am a person who really like to books. A favorite one is the books about Dhamma. After I read them, I feel so peace inside my mind. I can get good solutions from those books. When I was very serious and I felt that there’s no solution to solve problems, I learnt that sometimes I need to “let it go.” It’s easy phase to remember and very meaningful. It’s not just “let it go,” but I must have consciousness to wisely find out the solutions. Some problem couldn’t be solved in a very short time. If we immediately solve with incorrect solution, the problem may be not solved. One more favorite kind of books I read is fiction like novel and cartoon. They make me relaxed and happy. Today is one of my happy days because I got many cheap of books from bookstores such as Dokya, Praepittaya, and Nai-in. I could get both of non-fiction and fiction books. Do you believe me I bought 10 today? This is my first time that I bought many books in one day. I am quite happy because I have a chance to read good books. Long time ago, I used to read an article about Japanese said that the Japanese spend 30% of their salary to buy books in a month. In my opinion, it’s good to those people that spend money to buy a useful thing for their life. Every kind of books contributes knowledge to the readers, so just read books to meet new world.

The Buddha of the Front Palace

After studying Chinese I always went to temple or museum in Bangkok. So last Saturday I went to worship the nine Buddha of the Front Palace at National Museum Bangkok—Phra Buddha Sihing, Phra Hai Sok , Phra Bhaisajyaguru, Phra Chai Nakhon Ratchasima, Crowned Buddha, Sandal wood Buddha, Luang Pho Nak and Phar Buddha Ratthanamuni.

When I have learnt about this news, I wanted to see Sandal wood Buddha because these Buddha made from sandal wood (Chan Hom Wood) in abhaya mudra gesture, which means “Protection”. As a legend of Sandalwood Buddha, the Buddha preached the Dharma to his mother at the heaven. King Phasanethikosol ordered to create the Buddha statue made from sandal wood for replacement of the Buddha.

Besides, I am interested in Phra Bhaisajyaguru meaning around 12th-13th centuries. Lopburi art. these Buddha sheltered by Naga, was believed to cure body and mind diseases.

Many people worship the nine Buddha and want these Buddha to bring the good things to them. For example, Phra Buddha Sihing brings prosperity and auspiciousness, Phar Hai Sok can bring happiness. Lauang Pho Nak in meditation image means enlightenment.

For me, I worshiped the Buddha and really want to have the enlightenment. And also I asked for happiness happens to my family, friends, teachers, loved and disliked persons, and all being things.

I don’t expect good things will happen to me or not, but only want to successfully do something good in my life.

The pineapple cookies

I'm so busy since the end of the last year until now as I have to do my job. I already have a job which is come from my hobby. I'm a baker who have to bake the bakery thing over and over to earn the money. That's so good. Today I'm gonna present my newest master piece. It is the pineapple cookies, my favorite cookies. This is the first time that I bake the pineapple cookies. As last week I went to the shop where I can buy the bakery stuff for my product and I found that there are the stir pineapple. Then I bought it and start to learn how to bake the pineapple cookies on the website. There are so many way to do it but I choose just one. It not as hard to do as I think but I have to take very long time to shaping it. I though that why it have to be the worm shape? how about to make it in another shape? Since there is one blog that I found, the writer make a pig shape. Then I decided to do the pig shape but not actually same as the pig in that blog. I decided to make my own style of pig. It take around 5 minutes each but I think that it is so much more appetizing and more valuable. Not just the pig shape, I try to do the turtle shape and it is so cute but when the turtles are in the oven. They were loose their head so when they came out they had no head.. so pity.. I tried to fix them, give the head back but it didn't work. So next time I will try to do the other shape again. It's so funny

Siam Paragon

Siam Paragon is a place where I like. When I was about 6 years old, my father and I liked to sit in the Dunkin Donut where is opposite Siam Paragon (In that time it wasn’t Siam Paragon, but it was a theatre). When I was a senior high school, I walked there every Friday because our classes finished at 12 o’clock. Siam Paragon has many things to buy such as clothes, furniture, books, etc. You can choose the things that you like. Nowadays, Siam Paragon is a shopping place for teenagers including me (Although I am not teenager). I have a friend works at Siam Paragon. Her name is Wei; her duty is taking travelers look around Siam Ocean World which is inside   Siam Paragon. She must speak both of Thai and English. One day my close friend (Sine) and I went to Siam Paragon to buy a book “The Happiness of Kati” to analyze about translation. I hoped to see her but I lost hope. Moreover, Siam Paragon is also near sky train, you can travel convenience. If there are foreign travelers go to Bangkok. I recommend Siam Paragon is a good choice for them.

Love

Have you ever loved? I have never love someone, but I have ever liked many boys since I was a small child until I grew up (I liked one by one not many boys in the same time). I met the first boy when I was 10 years old, and I was 4 grades but he was 6 grades. We have ever walked oppose but we didn't talk together. I think it may be a poppy love. The second boy when I was 13 years old. I think he is lovely, but he liked another girl. Her name is Bua, she is a naughty girl. When we graduated junior high school, we didn't meet together. The third boy when I was 18 years old. His nickname is Tape, but he has a girlgriend who nickname is Ple. He took her to go with him in the graduate day. Certainly, I was heart-broken. The last boy when I am 24 years old. The boy who studied Graduate English in the same class with me (I have ever posted for many weeks). In that day, the teacher ordered us to raise questions together. I forgot ask him that he has a girlfriend or not. I know if we love or like someone and we are disappointed. We may sad, but we must calm down because it is not everyone can get the things that we want.

It’s an art time…

Don’t ask but just do if you want to know what art is. The definition of art varies to each person. Basically, art is a communicative work. Therefore, different people interpret an artwork differently. Like a therapy talk and a good company, art has the healing power; it helps solve the emotional issues and uplift your spirit. Through the process of art, a mind can find an outlet for frustration as well as creativity. The creator of art can concentrate better and know more about how to work with his muscles. It is also a way to build a sense of self-esteem after finish the work. You don’t need a sophisticated set of art tools. Just find something around house and start working on your art project. And many people think that art is unattainable. This is not true at all. You need to work on it and see it for yourself that there, in fact, a lot of varieties in store for you to try. I believe that you can do.
